RealDoll’s next AI sex robots will have memory, break reminders and a consent mode
RealDoll is preparing a new generation of AI sex robots, its president Sue Ennis told SEXTECHGUIDE in an interview published October 29. Everything below comes from that single interview. The robots have not been released, and none of the claims has been tested independently.
Ennis, who has led RealDoll maker Intima LLC since March 2026, said 12 owners are testing the first units. She expects a price of $21,000 to $24,000 when they launch more widely. The robots are still dolls with talking AI heads, and the same AI is meant to follow users into an avatar in an app. “You can actually build a relationship,” Ennis said, “and she will have memory.” She said user data stays on the user’s device. The outlet noted she did not explain how memory would move between devices without a cloud.
Against emotional dependence, the AI is to have a continuous-use limit of a few hours and to suggest breaks, “similar to what TikTok does.” A “journey” function is meant to teach consent: the avatar “isn’t just going to let them have sex,” Ennis said. “They have to get to know her.” Asked whether customers want this, she answered: “I’ll be honest with you: so far, no.” She also argued that “continuous frictionless engagement is not realistic,” a direct answer to the fantasy of frictionless love.
Whether a sexbot that sets conditions teaches consent or only simulates it is the open question. The company has not yet shown the product.
